Packing for fashion week (or any trip for that matter) is always a bit of a chore. For starters, I am a firm believer in not checking bags. Thus, my weekend wardrobe must be perfectly planned so as to take up as little space as possible. This is quite the chore under normal circumstances, then combine that with freezing temperatures and the chance of snow flurries and we have a near packing crisis on our hands. While court shoes and printed sweaters were the anticipated trend of the streets this go round, given the weather shift my street-style predictions (based solely upon the contents of my suitcase) are turtlenecks, fur and rubber-soled boots. Throw in a few hats, statement coats and over-sized jewelry and you have my recipe for the fashionably clad streets of Lincoln Center over the next few days. Problem one solved. Problem two? How to get this all in a carry-on...

Cute fur booties!
I've got my fingers crossed for you that you make it to NYC in time to catch a show or two...I was looking forward to seeing your write-ups!
I've found that wearing strategic layers, and bringing a rather large purse as my 'personal item' helps me manage the carry-on voyages.
